Philip Johnson's e'cco was opened in 1995. It is located in historic building of Brisbane's central business district. It has salsa red and aubergine- purple walls and polished masonite floor, and plain wood tables from the inside.
E'cco reflects the creative side of Philip Jhonson in everything designed and used there. Its menu is one such fine example. In the
words of Philip Johnson” we do as little as possible with best ingredients available” are the precise definition of his bistro e'cco. France was his muse for the traditional bistro. He traveled to Languedoc to discover Beziers a picturesque French town on the Orb Rivers.
Essence of Philip's bistro is simplistic; no- nonsense, it gives your senses a delight in its austere environment, efficient service by staff who dresses down to comfort its clients and food which is wholesome and full of flavor.
Hours: Lunch Tuesday - Friday 12:00pm - 2:30pm
Dinner Tuesday - Saturday 6:00pm - 10:00pm
(Closed Sunday + Monday)
