Indian-born surgeon Jayant Patel will walk out of the Brisbane watchhouse on Tuesday after being granted ,000 bail by a magistrate on manslaughter charges. Dr Patel, 58, arrived in Brisbane at 7.14am (AEST) on Monday on a Qantas flight from Los Angeles, accompanied by two Queensland police officers, following his voluntary extradition from the US. He faces 14 charges including manslaughter, grievous bodily harm and fraud, relating to his time at Bundaberg Base Hospital in southern Queens
