Brisbane’s Agricultural Fair

For ten days every August since 1876, Brisbane is the site of the Ekka, or the Royal Queensland Show.  Originally it was a fair designed to showcase agricultural and industrial innovations in Brisbane.  Some of the popular Ekka attractions are the sideshow alley, the carnival rides, the animal parades and the equestrian shows.

Celebrating the Brisbane River

The Riverfestival is a week-long celebration held on September of every year in Brisbane, with the aim of glorifying the beauty of Brisbane River.  The Riverfestival always starts of with the Riverfire, an awesome display of choreographed fireworks and pyrotechnics.
